Damage in Grayville Ruled to Be From Tornado

The National Weather Service has confirmed so far 12 tornadoes in the Paducah NWS Forecast Area. One of the newest confirmed came from a storm involving White County, Illinois and Gibson County, Indiana.

The Grayville/Fort Branch tornado was on the ground for approximately 24 minutes, starting at 8:25 PM. It was ruled an EF-1 tornado with peak winds estimated at 110 miles per hour. The tornado path was 22.3 miles in length.

National Weather Service officials say that they are investigating another tornado in Gibson County from Fort Branch, IN to Somerville. IN. A survey team will be surveying that area on Friday.
