Britany Pope Named New Superintendent for New Hope Schools

At last night’s New Hope School Board Meeting, it was announced that Britany Pope will be the school’s new superintendent. Pope will be taking over for Julie Harrelson who has been serving in the role.

Pope released the following statement on Facebook through the New Hope Facebook Page.

It is with great excitement and a deep sense of gratitude that I write to you today as your new Superintendent. As many of you know, I have had the privilege of serving as the Jr. High ELA teacher for New Hope the past 11 years and Assistant Principal for the past 4 years. During this time, I have been continually inspired by the dedication and spirit of our students, staff, and families.
Transitioning from Assistant Principal to Superintendent is both an honor and a tremendous responsibility, and I am eager to embrace this new role. The close guidance and mentorship from Mrs. Harrelson has prepared and equipped me with skills and knowledge needed to serve our district. My experiences within our school have given me valuable insights into our community’s unique strengths and needs. I am committed to leveraging this knowledge to enhance our educational programs, support our teachers, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
In this new capacity, I look forward to continuing our journey together, building on the solid foundation we have established. Collaboration, transparency, and a relentless focus on student achievement will guide my leadership as we navigate the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead.
