Pair of Cooling Centers Announced

With the extreme temperatures returning later this week, a few places are stepping up to serve as cooling centers.

Fairfield Memorial Hospital will serve as a designated Cooling Center this summer. The FMH Cafe will be open from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm daily for anyone that needs relief from the heat as temperatures and heat indexes continue to rise. We also provide free tea and water all day long in the FMH Cafe so please make sure you drink a lot of fluids to avoid dehydration.

The Edwards County Senior Center in Albion is also serving as a cooling center for the Edwards County Area. The hours will be 8 AM until 2 PM Monday thru Friday.
