Wayne County Democrats Hold June Meeting

The Wayne County Democratic Party met at the Fairfield Elks Lodge Wednesday Evening.

At the meeting, eight members were present. On the agenda were top takeaways from the tri-county May 15th meeting which focused on engaging younger generations, organizing a Tropical Sno pop-up at Leo French Park, & participating in the Fairfield Fall Fun Fest. Upcoming party events were also discussed. Some of those evens include Saturday, June 29th with the Southern Illinois Democratic Summit being held in Mt Vernon, IL. 5 members are planning to attend. Another event is set for Wednesday, August 14th. That is the Annual Chairs’ Brunch which will be held in Springfield. Precinct committeeperson Judy Cates is planning to attend as proxy for county chairperson Cassy Fuller.

The next party meeting will be Wednesday, July 17th 6:30pm at the Fairfield Elks Lodge.
