Information on Accident From Sunday on US 45

A single vehicle accident on US 45 in Geff resulted in injuries a hospitalization for a Cisne woman. The accident happened around 4:35 PM.

According to the police report, a witness of the accident told authorities that a 2019 Subaru Forester was driving South on US 45 when the driver passed around a group of vehicles before pulling back into the southbound lane behind a tractor trailer. The driver then tried to pass the tractor trailer, nearly struck the witness head on and then the vehicle went into the east ditch and then began to overturn before coming to a stop in the northbound lane. The driver, identified as 39-year-old April N. Allbritton of Cisne was transported by ambulance to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. The vehicle sustained what is being described as major damage and was towed away from the scene.

Allbritton was cited by authorities for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was charged with criminal speeding of over 26 miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
