The heat index, which measures how hot it actually feels, is predicted to reach as high as 97°F. These conditions can be dangerous, and residents are advised to stay hydrated and seek shade during the afternoon hours, especially from noon to 4 p.m.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop between 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday, potentially impacting evening travel and outdoor plans.

After the stormy weather, Friday will bring more comfortable conditions. It will be mostly sunny with a high near 82°F, providing a break from the heat and humidity.

This clear and sunny weather trend will continue into the weekend, with Saturday reaching a high of 85°F and mostly sunny skies. Sunday will bring more sunshine and a high of 88°F. Looking ahead to next week, temperatures will remain warm, with Monday seeing a high of 88°F and Tuesday reaching a hot 94°F.
