CHICAGO – A Hanover Park teen turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday, months after allegedly crashing his vehicle and killing another driver.
According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney, Adrian Pleban, 18, allegedly drove a 2013 BMW 328I southbound on Gary Avenue at speeds exceeding 80 mph.
Pleban allegedly failed to slow down in time and collided with a 2022 Ford Bronco, killing the female driver and seriously injuring the passenger.
Pleban surrendered to authorities on June 25 and was released after his first court appearance on the condition that he not operate a motor vehicle.
Prosecutors charged him with four felonies, including two counts of reckless homicide and two counts of aggravated reckless driving causing great bodily harm in court.
What We Do not Know:
Aside from Pleban, the identities of the other victims in the crash have not been released.
The Ford Bronco passenger’s condition has not been revealed.
Pleban’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 21, 2025, before Judge Ann Celine O’Hallaren Walsh.
