A judge in Arkansas sentenced a mother to 120 days in prison after she allegedly admitted giving marijuana to her children.

Deanna Sue Woods, 36, was arrested in January after a Department of Human Services employee spoke with her 6-year-old daughter and discovered that the mother “had been allowing her children to ingest marijuana and THC edibles,” according to a copy of the probable cause affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.

According to the affidavit, the child was drug tested and found to have THC in their system, prompting the DHS to contact a detective with the Brookland Police Department.

The detective then arrested Woods the next day, and according to the affidavit, she allegedly agreed to speak with him after being informed of her Miranda rights.

According to Detective Dustin Norwood’s affidavit, Woods told him she had given THC-laced honey and chocolate to three of her children, ages 6, 10, and 15.

She also allegedly claimed that she let the 6- and 10-year-old children use her vape pen.

According to the affidavit, Woods admitted to smoking marijuana around her 1-year-old toddler and using the substance herself while breastfeeding.

According to the affidavit, Woods agreed to write down her statement and was later charged with 12 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree and introducing a controlled substance into another person’s body.

According to the affidavit, she claimed she did this to keep her children away from marijuana.

Police arrested her and she spent 60 days in jail before posting bail.

Woods will now serve an additional 60 days in jail after being sentenced to 120 days following a June 25 hearing in which she agreed to plead guilty to one count of each charge.

She will also be required to attend parenting and substance abuse classes, and she will be prohibited from having contact with her children unless approved by their guardian and DHS.
