A Big Rock man was arrested Sunday after allegedly making threats to Kane County Sheriff’s deputies at his home in the 100 block of W. Galena Road.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were at the home to deliver a notice to appear for 43-year-old Drew M. Fickau, who allegedly sent obscene messages to someone.

After making the reported comments to authorities, Fickau re-entered his home, but was later discovered at a gas station west of it. When he was apprehended, he was reportedly surrounded by cops.

Fickau is charged with threatening a public official, cyberstalking, and other offenses involving the transmission of obscene messages and harassment via electronic communication.

Fickau was transported to the Kane County Jail in St. Charles.
