HIGHLAND PARK – Have you ever wanted to live like one of the greats? Michael Jordan’s former multimillion-dollar mansion has recently become available for rent on Airbnb.

Jordan’s mansion in Highland Park, Illinois, which bears the basketball icon’s number 23 on the front gate, was on the market for a decade before selling in December 2024 for $9.5 million to real estate mogul John Cooper, according to NBC.

According to the Airbnb listing, the property spans 7.39 acres “surrounded by mature pines,” and includes a professional grade putting green, a private pond stocked with bass and bluegill, a zero-entry infinity edge pool, an indoor movie theater, commercial gym, cigar longue, wine cellar, pool tables, bars, a salon, salt water aquariums, and, of course, a full basketball court.

According to ESPN, guests interested in booking the mansion must book for at least seven nights, with a maximum occupancy of 12 guests. A required $25,000 security deposit, a liability waiver, and a nondisclosure agreement raise the entry barrier even higher.

The total cost of the week-long stay could exceed six figures, according to the outlet.

Cooper told NBC that he did not believe Airbnb was the property’s final use.

“I am still considering many different uses for the property,” he told me. “Some great uses require zoning relief, but in the meantime short-term rentals are a permitted use to bring exposure to the property and generate some revenue.”
