KENDALL COUNTY – A woman was sentenced to 30 years in prison for murdering her girlfriend and attempting to conceal the crime as a suicide.

Alexia Telles, 28, from Oswego, was charged in April 2023. She was arrested after arriving at an Oswego home with her girlfriend Annissa Ellen-Williams in February.

According to authorities, Ellen-Williams had suffered a traumatic head wound.

She was pronounced dead after paramedics attempted to save her life.

During the investigation, police discovered that Telles and Ellen-Williams had argued while driving.

Telles was accused of intentionally killing her girlfriend and then attempting to stage a suicide.

She was sentenced to 30 years in prison last week after entering a plea agreement.

Telles will serve three years of mandatory supervised release following his sentence.
