A brawl broke out on a Metra Union Pacific-North train near Wilmette on Thursday night.

Wilmette police confirmed that officers responded to a fight on the train shortly before 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

The incident was captured on video, with at least five people throwing punches and wrestling at the bottom of a stairwell leading to the second level of a train car.

Wilmette police stated that their officers secured the scene and turned over the investigation to Metra police.

Metra officials said Wilmette police removed the people involved in the fight from the train. Metra police then interviewed all parties involved, but they refused to cooperate or sign complaints.

Metra stated that one person was transported to Evanston Hospital by ambulance for treatment of unknown injuries, but provided no information on how they were injured or their current condition.
