On Monday, police arrested someone for allegedly attempting to enter the McHenry County Courthouse with a gun.
The incident occurred around 3:58 p.m. at Woodstock’s courthouse.
Security officers stopped the suspect as he attempted to enter the building. He fled and was pursued by officers.
According to police, the person was arrested nearby, and a weapon was recovered.
McHenry County officials are still conducting an investigation, so no additional information was immediately available.
