HUNTLEY – On Thursday morning, a man was hospitalised in critical condition after falling from the roof of his northwest suburban home.
According to Huntley Fire Protection District officials, the incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. at a home on the 15000 block of Lerita Drive in rural McHenry County.
Crews were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports that a person had fallen from the roof of a nearby home.
When they arrived, they discovered the victim, whom they described as a “male patient,” who was a roofing crew member working on the home.
Officials said the man suffered critical injuries after falling from a second-story roof.
Crews eventually dispatched a medical helicopter, which transported the victim to a hospital in Rockford.
Currently, it is unclear what caused the incident.
