Kindergarten and Birth to 5 Screenings are set to take place later this month in Wayne City.
Kindergarten Screening for Wayne City School will take place on Thursday, April 25th, and Friday, April 26th from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM at the Wayne City Baptist Church. To schedule an appointment, contact Wayne City School by calling 618-895-0357. Kindergarten screenings are for those who will be 5 years of age or older by September 1st. The screening will allow you and your child to meet with a Kindergarten teacher and check for their readiness to enter Kindergarten. Officials ask that you bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, dental and eye exams, as a school physical if it is available at the time.
Birth to 5 Screenings are also set for Thursday, April 25th at the Wayne City Baptist Burch from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM. To setup an appointment, contact Wayne City School by calling 618-895-0357. Children ageas 0-2 will be screened by and receive services from Early Intervention. Children 3-5 years of age will be screened by WOVSED and will be eligible for PRE-K. The developmental screenings will look at a child’s vision, hearing, speech and language, motor skills, and early academics or developmental milestones.
