Fairfield City Officials have announced a pair of updates on upcoming pavement projects.
Airport Road and NW 6th Street will be paved on Fri. April 12th while East Court and W. College Streets will be paved on Mon. April 15.
Residents of these areas are asked not leave vehicles parked on the roadways. City officials say that work will begin early on these two days and request that the roads are clear of any vehicles or obstructions. General traffic should consider alternate routes on those days.
The work on the pavement project was approved at the September 26, 2023 Fairfield City Council meeting. Howell Paving was the only contractor to put in a bid for the work at $423,780.26. The funds were approved out of motor fuel tax funds on a unanimous vote.
