Police claim the man who stabbed his roommate with about $15 said the other people in the residence were lucky they didn't get in his way. Yeah, you got me.

A Minnesota man allegedly admitted to stabbing his roommate to death following an argument over $15.

Sincir Malik Porter, 21, is being held in Hennepin County Jail on a $1 million bond after being charged with the murder of his 25-year-old roommate, Abdirahman Adan Abdirahman.

According to a probable cause statement obtained by Law&Crime, officers responded to calls from a home address in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Sunday and discovered “a large amount of blood on the floor and walls in the living room.”

Abdirahman was discovered on the floor, with a stab wound to his neck. He was immediately taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Police said witnesses identified Porter as the one who allegedly attacked Abdirahman after the two were seen arguing. According to witnesses, Porter stabbed Abdirahman in the neck before fleeing the house.

One witness told police that they thought Porter had just “punched” Abdirahman before noticing blood on his neck. Porter allegedly told a witness that Abdirahman “made me flash out.” Witnesses also told police that the home had surveillance cameras that could have captured the alleged altercation, and they were correct.

According to the statement, police obtained surveillance footage and observed Porter and Abdirahman “arguing over $15.” Porter was seen holding a knife in one hand during the verbal altercation before switching hands and allegedly stabbing Abdirahman once.

Abdirahman was seen on video preparing to fight back, seemingly unaware that he had been stabbed. He was then seen collapsed on the ground.

Police found Porter in another part of the neighborhood. Porter reportedly told the officers, “Yeah, you got me.”

After being read his rights, Porter allegedly admitted to stabbing Abdirahman and told police he had previously considered killing him and his other roommates. Porter told cops that his fellow roommates “were lucky they did not get in his way.”

Porter was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder. He is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail on a $1 million bond. He was set to appear in court on Wednesday.
