Police Find Body of 35-Year-Old Woman Who Went Missing One Day Prior 'Heartbreaking'

Police have discovered a body that they believe belongs to a woman who was reported missing just one day ago.

According to South Yorkshire Police in England, a body was discovered on Saturday, June 14, as authorities searched for a woman from Doncaster, about 60 miles east of Manchester, identified only as Natalie, 35.

“Officers searching for missing woman Natalie from Doncaster sadly discovered a body today,” police said in a Facebook post.

Authorities said that while the body has not been formally identified, officers believe it belongs to the missing 35-year-old.

“Her family has been notified, and our thoughts are with them and all of Natalie’s friends and loved ones,” police said in a statement.

According to the Doncaster Free Press, Natalie was last seen by police on Friday, June 13, just before 12 p.m. local time. She was described as “white, 5ft 7ins tall with brown shoulder-length hair.”

Authorities said she was wearing glasses, all-black clothing, and carrying a rucksack when she went missing.

“Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for Natalie’s welfare and want to speak with anybody who has seen her,” police said when she was first reported missing, according to the Free Press.

Members of the local community expressed their condolences to the missing woman’s loved ones on social media.

“This is so sad,” one person commented on Facebook. “Sending love and deepest sympathy to her family and loved ones.”

“Heartbreaking,” another person commented. “RIP, young lady.”
