A semi-truck lost a tire on Monday and caused an accident with a motorcyclist on US 45 in Barnhill Township. The accident happened around 7:10 AM.
A 1998 Harley-Davidson operated by 32-year-old Caleb Smith of Fairfield was traveling southbound on US 45 while a 2000 Peterbilt operated by 78-year-old Michael Richardson of Fairfield was traveling northbound on the highway. A tire from Richardson’s semi came off the wheel and struck Smith’s motorcycle, causing damage.
No Injuries were reported in the accident.
