Wayne City Man Arrested for Failure to Appear

A Wayne City man was arrested by Wayne County Sheriff’s Officials on a failure to appear warrant out of Wayne County. Forty-five-year-old Justin D. Drew was wanted on the failure to appear warrant for two counts of operation of a motor vehicle with a cancelled, revoked, or suspended registration. Officials in Wayne County Court issued the warrant on June 17th.

Drew was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he is currently being held pending a court appearance. Bond information has not yet been released.

The charges stem from earlier traffic offenses in which Drew was allegedly found operating a vehicle that did not meet legal registration requirements. His failure to appear in court on the scheduled date prompted the issuance of the warrant.

Court records indicate that Drew has had prior interactions with the legal system, though it is unclear whether those are related to the current charges.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public of the importance of complying with court orders and maintaining current vehicle registrations to avoid legal complications.

Further proceedings in the case are pending. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
