Bliss Finishes 8th in Long Jump While Jennette Finishes 17th in 3200 Meter Relay

Two individual Fairfield Mules competed in the finals of the Class 1A Track and Field State Finals on Saturday. The finals were held at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

Trent Bliss finished 8th overall in High Jump. Bliss’s jump on Saturday was 1.88 meters, .03 meters higher than his jump on Thursday. Overall, in imperial scale, that is 6’2”. Carmi-White County’s Mitchell Edwards took the top spot for high jump at 2 meters or 6.75 feet.

Grant Jennette finished 17th in the 3200 Meter Dash with a time of 10:08.86. Jennette was overall 50 seconds behind the leader.
